Messi put in a v good shift again..world cup, champ leagues, friendlies, etc...

you have to laugh at the very average very over paid players + managers who moan about too many games, needing rest etc...

Thing with Ronaldo and Messi is that Messi has another three years on Ronaldo. Ronaldo's level hasn't dropped in the past 2-3 years though whereas Messi has which is why Ronaldo should be World player of the year again this year.

If anyone can be arsed to watch nearly 90 minutes of one player on a pitch, watch 'Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait'

Kaks, this usually causes a stir. The Mardona I saw had a poor italia 90, and a poor USA 94, and 86'ers go mental when I exclude him.

I'd go for these

1. Messi
2. Ronaldo (although I think maybe at the end of his career he might do enough to take number 1)
3. Zidane
4. Baggio (90/94 wc's he was supreme)
5. Martin Odegaard

I did just after, but I appreciated the 86er comment all the same.

Good to hear.

Top 5 players in your opinion?

In my lifetime, I'd probably go:

CR7
Messi
Fat Ronaldo
Zidane
Sir David Beckham

Sorry, from memory I just rememebered the 'head and shoulders' above Messi comment as I remember laughing at it and calling you an 86'er.
I didn't realise you actually meant in terms of winning a world cup final, and in terms of running the show in the final, as you didn't appear to mention that!

Well winning 2 headers in the final..........

Great player. Not in my top 5 though.

Ha ha, that's selective C&Ping there you scamp.

Where's the 'in terms of talent' bit?

That was in reference to Zidane winning a World Cup and running the show during the final.
